Valentines Day

I don't have big plans for Valentines Day. I got the hubby a small box of chocolates ... mostly because I know he wont eat them so I can &&&& a card that specifically says "husband"  .. heehee! Hopefully he has put more thought into the holiday than I have!

Work Day Grind

Whats worse - working for very little pay ... or working in a job you don't enjoy!

Sadly, my dear hubby & I are nearing both! OKAY, I'm being a bit dramatic - we don't hate our jobs and we do get paid fair but neither of us are at all passionate about our work and pray every day that it is only temporary.

So we shall force ourselves into a new journey! We have decided that we will not continue to be unhappy & that we will strive to push towards our goals in the career world. What does this mean?

For Josh: It means going back to school! The only thing he has EVER wanted to do is coach - and to coach in the current school systems you must teach. So we have applied for jobs that will work with a full time school schedule and have applied to colleges.

For Me: It is a lot  more complicated! I have no idea what I want to do. I am in school and working hard to get a degree but when I really think about, I don't know if a classroom will be ideal for me. Maybe Josh will make enough money where I can stay at home and craft all day ... that would be marvelous :)
Josh had an interview today ... so say a prayer they call him back for a 2nd interview!

Sunday SUNDAY Sunday

Like I'm NOT going to throw a party?? Let's be honest here, I love any [ANY] excuse to throw a party & the fact that my husband is the biggest sports buff around makes this party a necessity!

So here is the plan:

1. The Food
        - Bacon-Cheeseburger Wraps
        - Hot Wings [from a local gas station ... only in the south]
        - Josh's Signature Cheese Dip
        - Football shaped rice Krispies [in Steelers/Packers colors!]
2. The Game & Games
Of course the flat screen will be showing the big game, but whats a party with GAMES!! As I promise to my husband, I will leave the board games in the closet - but that doesn't mean someone wont be leaving with a prize at the end of the night! I have created a fun game of Superbowl Bingo!
3. The Wardrobe
I'm a girl - of COURSE I know what I'm wearing to my own party! I keep it simple though - Big Star Jeans [From Love Street @ Cedarcrest] and a fashionable sweatshirt [from H&M]. Paired with Toms & a pony-tail - I'll be comfy enough to work the party without looking like a complete slouch!

Sincerely,

The Beginning

This isnt REALLY the beginning ... the beginning was 5 years ago when I was cornered on a playground and kissed in a slide! He says I started, I strongly disagree - but at any rate it is 5yrs later & we are happily married with one sweet puppy, Boss.

Words are boring - here is photographic proof:
Step 1: Dating

Step 2: Engaged

Step 3: Married

&& I cannot leave out the man of the house ... BOSS!!

I am not your average blogger - I do not want fame or fortune or to sell my story for millions ... in fact - I doubt anyone but myself will ever read this! I simply want proof for my children one day that I was once a cool, skinny twenty-something :)

&& journals are outdated - a blog is much more hip :)

If you do choose to follow then enjoy ...

Sincerely, The very new Mrs. L
